Stargate Universe gates to season 2
Despite prevalent derision from Stargate fans, newcomers lured by the gritty trailers, people looking for a Battlestar Galactica surrogate, and lapsed SG1 viewers like myself, Stargate Universe has already secured another season from Syfy. The network must either have very low expectations, or believe the show can be salvaged from its creative dead-ends, because the recent mid-season finale died in the US ratings with a series-low of 1.34 million viewers.
I gave up on SGU by episode 7, so is there light at the end of the wormhole that justifies this re-commissioning? Or have Syfy just invested too much time, effort and money into this thing to let it die without a fight?
