Most Watched US TV Shows Of The '00s

God, this Top 10 list makes for strange viewing. I haven't seen a single one of these, and nor do I want to. Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, then:

1. Friends (series finale, 6 May 04) 52.5m
2. Survivor: Borneo (season 1 finale, 23 Aug 00) 51.7m
3. Joe Millionaire (season 1 finale, 17 Feb 03) 40m
4. E.R ("All In The Family", 17 Feb 00) 39.4m
5. American Idol (season 6 premiere, 16 Jan 07) 38.1m
6. Grey's Anatomy (post-Super Bowl episode, 5 Feb 06) 38m
7. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (launch week, 3 May 00) 36m
8. Frasier (season 7 finale, 18 May 00) 33.7m
9. Everybody Loves Raymond (series finale, 16 May 05) 32.9m
10. Spin City (Michael J. Fox's last episode, 24 May 00) 32.8m

So, basically a mix of highly-publicized premieres and finale's, with the emphasis on sitcoms and reality shows. I can understand Friends, Idol and Millionaire being on this list. And I respect the fact E.R appears with an episode that much have been very powerful to pull in nearly 40m viewers. But Survivor? Joe Millionaire? Everybody Loves Raymond? Ick.
