35 Years of Lance Henriksen - A Video Retrospective

As we wind down the birthday celebration for Mr. Henriksen, I thought it only appropriate to share a video by Josef Karl Gunnarsson. He has been extremely consistent in sending us outstanding videos of different episodes of Millennium paired with some fantastic music. Well, this time he takes a break from that format and creates a great retrospective video of Lance Henriksen's prolific TV and movie career. This video was done over at TIWWA for the LH70 birthday celebration. You can check the celebration out here.

So, please join me and watch this amazing video and once you are done, please leave comments on the blog thanking Josef for yet another fine piece of artistry!

Again, Happy Birthday Lance from everyone at BacktoFrankBlack. We wish you all the best in the future and look forward to more of your outstanding work!

Video Tribute: A Single Blade of Grass!

This week's video tribute (a name I have just coined and intend to use from now on so get used to it!), is for an episode that for me, is far better than I originally thought. Season Two's "A Single Blade of Grass" is the source for Josef's latest offering. There are some lovely moments in this episode, and some great little slices of Henriksen.

So sit back and enjoy another slice of visual Millennium courtesy of Josef's Avatar Vision and BacktoFrankBlack!

To mark the new year, Josef has created a video to celebrate, well, what else, Frank Black and we hope you enjoy this little celebration of the character we all love.

To each and every one of you, a happy new year and please continue to support this campaign throughout 2010 as those involved have lost in store that we are sure you will enjoy. Never give up the fight, always keep believing and let's make this year the year that we bring Frank Black back!

Midnight of The Century Week Day One: Midnight Of A Merry Little Christmas!

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse although Josef was securely locked in the basement working on the video you are about to watch. It's time for BackToFrankBlack to plunge itself into the festive season with a week long celebration of the Kay Reindl and Erin Maher penned festive episode, Midnight of the Century! I am delighted to say that all the hard work that has gone in to this week has been supported by Frank Spotnitz and to all who made it possible, and to Frank, I am very grateful.

We have a week of events to help you good folk celebrate the festive season, Millennium style and we hope that you will all be duly inspired to do you bit for the cause and post your letters and postcards to 20th Century Fox before Christmas. To launch the week, Josef has created a beautiful little video celebrating the episode so without further ado, switch on the fairy lights, grab a glass of eggnog and two types of bread and join with me in wishing all Millennium fans out there, A Merry Little Christmas!

I think you will agree with me that that is inspired and as Josef has continually beavered away, week in, week out, in order to increase our presence at Youtube and bring new supporters in our direction (he is well on his way to his videos receiving a hundred views with each new release) please share you thoughts with him on this wonderful festive outing and wish him Merry Christmas in the process.

As promised, each music new release from Josef will be accompanied by a postcard that we urge you to send to Steve Asbell at 20th Century Fox. Making 20th Century Fox aware that we are here to stay and active in our support of a Millennium Movie is a vital way you can help this campaign achieve its ends. We are regularly asked what is the best way to help this campaign and there is no finer way than sending this postcard. The only way we can bring this show back is to make some noise and continue making that noise. Give Frank black the best Christmas present you could possibly give him by helping to bring him back to our screens in 2010.

Send your letters and postcards to FOX:

STEVE ASBELL
Twentieth Century Fox
10201 West Pico Blvd.,
Bldg. 88, Room 132
Los Angeles, CA 90035#

Mark

As a little extra treat for you good folks (well it is Christmas after all) you can now download a behind the scenes account of the creative process that goes into the creation of the above music video. Simply click on Frank's Christmas tree below to be taken to the download link.

Avatar Vision Proudly Presents: It's still Midnight - a tribute to owls and roosters.

Time once again for another Millennium music video courtesy of our video guru Josef. Each and every week Josef locks himself away in The Spotnitz Sanitarium and creates another musical montage in the hope that we can reach another potential campaigner via the power of Youtube and I know you guys have come to enjoy his work and look forward to it. You can help this campaign by joining Josef and making a video of your own. It needn't be something as complex as a music video, a simple recording of yourself talking about support for this campaign is all we need. Give it some thought.

This week turn our attention to Season Two's episode two part extravaganza, Owls and Roosters. Civil unrest is abound at the very heart of the episode as two of the factions of The Millennium Group, the theological Owls and the secular Roosters, fight for supremacy in the midst of the discovery of the The True Cross. Millennium group members, Frank Black and Lara Means find themselves caught in a struggle as the very existence of The Millennium Group is threatened by the nefarious Odessa.

An epic two-parter needs an epic musical treatment right? Well it has one. Sit back and enjoy these seven minutes and more dedicated to one of the darkest eras The Millennium Group was to face.

So don't be shy. Let Josef know what you think of his latest creation and tell us what you think about the episodes in questions. Are they really as epic as I have made them out to be or did all the civil unrest leave you, well, a little restless. We want to know your thoughts so please do leave us a few comments as we really enjoy hearing from all you good people.

AVATAR VISION PROUDLY PRESENTS: AMBER SKULL AND BONES!

Time once again for another Millennium music video courtesy of our video guru Josef. This week is something of an additional treat, as Josef has turned to fellow musician and friend Cindi to provide the music for this weeks montage. BackToFrankBlack is particularly proud to support talented individuals such as Cindi and we are indebted to her for allowing Josef to use her wonderful composition in this weeks video.

This week, Josef has turned his attention to the season three episode, Skull and Bones, that dark foray into executions Millennium Group style. There are so many notable things about this episode it's hard to know where to start but the fate of Cheryl Andrews and Peter Watts' horrifying confrontation of Emma Hollis in the charnel house must rank high on the list. Coupled with a stellar performance from Ayre Gross and you have an episode that's as controversial as it is good. So, sit back, enjoy the show and let us know what you think of the episode, the music and the video...

So don't be shy. Let Josef know what you think of his latest creation and tell us what you think about the episode. We want to know your thoughts so please do leave us a few comments as we really enjoy hearing from all you good people.

AVATAR VISION PROUDLY PRESENTS: GUILTY WEEDS!

This week we turn our attention to Frank Spontnitz's Weeds, a tale of a private community and the fate that begins to befall a group of young men made to pay, literally, for the sins of their fathers. Interestingly, Frank Spotnitz himself considers this his least favourite episode of Millennium but states that the idea behind it is an interesting one. What do you guys think? Do your share his opinion or consider it one of the greats? Either way, settle back and enjoy the show!

So don't be shy. Let Josef know what you think of his latest creation and tell us what you think about the episode. A good one, a great one, a very thin and white one? We want to know your thoughts so please do leave us a few comments as we really enjoy hearing from all you good people.

AVATAR VISION PROUDLY PRESENTS: HEY MAN NICE LINE!

Time, once again, for MusicMonday™ and our jaunt into the world of Millennium Music Montages. This is one is a little special as it comes with a dedication. Our very dear friend, Vivi, was an essential cog in the machinery that made BackToFrankBlack.com possible and despite being an active staff-member in the Millennium Fan Community she also finds time to be a driving force in Filter fandom, a band she holds very dear to heart. Putting the two things together she cares about, Filter and Frank Black, had to be dedicated to her. So to Vivi and to all the fans of Filter and Millennium, this one's for you guys.

Josef takes the time to make these videos because he feels as passionately as we do about bringing Millennium back and anyone who frequents Youtube will know how much support and interest he is enjoying because of it and how many people have discovered us through his work.

The Thin White Line is a season one episode penned by Glen Morgan and James Wong and is clearly inspired by the real life interrogation of serial killer, Edmund Kemper. It's an notable episode for the commanding performance given by Scott Heindl as Jacob Tyler, an actor who would be forever immortalised in Millennium mythology as the male incarnation of Lucy Butler, The Long Haired Man. Telling the story of Frank Black reliving his first case, this is Josef's tribute to that episode. Dim the lights, grab the popcorn and and enjoy the show.

So don't be shy. Let Josef know what you think of his latest creation and tell us what you think about the episode. A good one, a great one, a very thin and white one? We want to know your thoughts so please do leave us a few comments as we really enjoy hearing from all you good people.

WE HAVE A WINNER: THE MILLENNIUM MUSIC VIDEO COMPILATION SIGNED BY LANCE HENRIKSEN!

Back during The Curse Of Frank Black Week we unveiled a fantastic competition that would allow one of you lucky people to get your hands on a wonderful piece of campaign memorabilia. When Josef and Troy ventured to Chicago for the Flashback Horror Convention they were lucky enough to have Lance Henriksen sign the DVD so that we could give it away to one of you good people.
