Doctor Who: Series 5 Press Launch

Doctor Who had its swanky press launch last night in Cardiff, where showrunner Steven Moffat confirmed he'll be writing the 2010 Christmas Special (which starts filming in July) and that a sixth series has been commissioned. I've embedded a few BBC interviews from the event (above and below), which both include a scene from "The Eleventh Hour" premiere, showing The Doctor (Matt Smith) interacting with a younger version of his eventual new companion, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan). Moffat really does have a fondness for The Time Traveler's Wife, doesn't he...

Anyway, early word on "The Eleventh Hour" is very positive, as I expected it would be. Doctor Who returns to BBC1/BBC HD on Saturday 3 April.
