COMPETITION: THE MILLENNIUM MOVIE POSTER PROJECT

From hypnotic visions of gruesome violence to brightly-colored vistas of heart and home, from stunning scenes of apocalyptic horror to lurid portraits of evil incarnate, Millennium was a television series that delivered some of the most vivid, unique, and memorable imagery ever seen on television. Now, the time has come for you to present your own personal vision of Millennium

We are pleased and excited to announce a brand new competition from Back to Frank Black. For this, we would like you to look ahead, to imagine what you would like to see in the Millennium feature film, and to represent that by way of a poster design for “your” movie!

The composition of the poster is entirely up to you. You might decide to put your Photoshop skills to full use or you might want to design, draw, or paint an entirely original work of art. You could include a subtitle for the film, a tagline, or credits for cast and crew. The banner could find its focus in a photographic portrait or in an illustration completely abstract. The only limit is your imagination! Show us your vision of Millennium and its future. If you’re struggling for inspiration, feel free to review the archive of advertising material from the TV show’s history here, on the Millennial Abyss.

We ask that you submit your entry or entries--as you are free to submit multiple posters if you have a wealth of ideas--as either a JPEG or a PDF file(s) by e-mail to info@backtofrankblack.com. Be sure that your subject line reads “Millennium Movie Poster Project” and that the e-mail includes both your name and address. As judge of the competition, Lance Henriksen himself will choose the winning poster! The contest’s exclusive prize will be announced shortly. The closing date for entries is August 29th, so start planning your image! There are 35 days remaining.

Good luck! We look forward to seeing your Millennium movie poster designs.

BacktoFrankBlack: Staff Update

We'd like to welcome two new consultants to the team. You'll hear them shortly on the next panel podcast and you'll most likely have purused their work at Fourth Horseman Press and, of course, Millennial Abyss.

Brian Dixon and Adam Chamberlain will be working for Back to Frank Black, offering their wisdom on the show and their advice on the campaign in an official capacity. Both have a long love of Millennium. Brian himself is pretty iconic to the show's fandom -- and if you've been to neither of the above sites, please do so.

For a list of who is who on Back to Frank Black, you can see details of staff, consultants, regular contributors and campaign support on our staff page.

Coming soon... Top 5 Millennium Panel!

Back to Frank Black has been in the process of pooling another panel session and we can finally announce the details.

We'll be recording a panel on the Top 5 Episodes of Millennium -- a concept we've looked at in previous podcasts that proved popular listening. This time we've pulled together six other voices to join the woody, deep timbre of Troy Foreman and the Bertie Wooster stuttering of myself.

Joining us will be Robin Strickler, a big Millennium fan with a decade worth of radio experience -- so I have no doubt she will have no problems in explaining her top five! Back to Frank Black follower and Millennium fan Peter McKiernan will also be joining us. Blog followers will have read Peter's thoughts on Millennium in his Seven and One a while back. A couple of familiar voices will be joining us again: Fredric Fitz and Peter Holstrom will be back to give you more of their opinions. And finally, both myself and Troy are rather thrilled to have two names of great significance to Millennium fandom, Millennial Abyss and Fourth Horseman Press runners Brian A. Dixon and Adam Chamberlain, joining us!

The Millennial Abyss was one of the major resources of Millennium in its day, and it remains just as pertinent now. It's a website that nurtured both my own and Troy's interest in Millennium along side our brothers at TIWWA.

So, as you can imagine, we're very excited about this upcoming podcast. Watch out for it and several other great Millennium interviews that will be heading your way exclusively from BacktoFrankBlack.com!
